As this is a vocational course, you are expected to either be working in a florist shop or intend to work in such a shop. If you do not work in a florist you must be prepared to work in a minumum of 40 hours within a floristry business.

Normally you will have to attend college three days for the next year
Duration :3 days per week for 1 year
Who the Course is For:
All people employed in floristry should have a qualification. This course is suitable for those already working in the field, and also provides the necessary educational basis for people entering floristry as a carerr.
Assessment:
This is continuous and mainly done in class time over the two years with one multiple choice examination at the end of the year to assess underpinning knowledge.
Assessments are grades as follows:
Pass, Merit, Distinction

Unit 204 Plan, prepare and construct tied floristry designs
Unit 205 Plan, prepare and construct funeral designs
Unit 206 Plan, prepare and construct floral arrangements
Unit 207 Plan, prepare and construct wedding designs with floral materials
Unit 208 Display of floristry goods
Unit 209 Introduction to working in the floristry industry
Unit 210 Introduction to function decorating using floral displays.
To gain Level 2 National Certificate in floristry, candidates must undertake assessments of all units.
