What will I study?
This course explores catering and hospitality and offers
students extra help to improve basic skills. We provide additional
support in terms of staff, computer aids and visual learning.
Students study for the Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and can gain
units towards an NVQ in Food Service. The hospitality school has
CoVE status (Centre of Vocational Excellence) and has won two
prestigious national awards: Hospitality Assured and a Beacon
Award.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need to come to the College for an interview and short
test. You also need to have a reasonable understanding of Maths and
English.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by a portfolio of evidence, practical observation
and an oral test. Students meet regularly with tutors to help plan
studies and discuss progress.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
