Which units to choose?
The course consists of seven units for the full certificate.
At Level 1 all candidates must be assessed in the core units plus optional units
Core Units:
501 Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
504 Contribute to effective teamwork
603 Maintain food safety when storing, preparing and cooking food
Optional units:
518 Cook vegetables 519 Prepare and cook fish
520 Prepare and cook meat and poultry
525 Prepare and cook vegetable protein
How often do I need to attend?
Most learners preparing for NVQ qualifications spend 15 or 30 hours a week at Myrrh. This can be varied to suit your needs.
