2. Course description Are you interested in a career in the creative media industries, but still want to explore the wide range of options of available? Have you thought about university, but aren't sure exactly what you'd like to do yet? This Level 3 Foundation Studies in Art & Design, with a focus on photography, graphics, broadcasting TV & radio, is ideal for you! During this course, you'll get to explore your innovative side and build a portfolio or showreel depending on the path you take, that really showcases your passions for creative media and the skills you have learnt. Whichever pathway you choose - whether it's graphics and game art or broadcast TV - you'll combine theoretical work and practical, hands-on sessions to hone your talents. You'll be introduced to both traditional and modern techniques in your subject area, practicing a wide range of skills that will be highly relevant to potential employers. Entry requirements If you'd like to enrol on this Foundation Studies in Art & Design Level 3 Diploma, with a focus on photography, graphics and broadcasting, the preferred level of qualification is one A Level at pass grade, or a Level 3 qualification such as a Certificate, Diploma, or Extended Diploma. You should also have four GCSEs at grade C or above, including both Maths and English, and be prepared to attend an interview with us, with a relevant portfolio. You may also need to pass some basic English and maths tests. If you're a mature applicant (21 or over) with relevant skills or knowledge gained in work experience, we also encourage you to apply. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You'll complete a series of projects for 6 units of this Level 3 diploma, each of which will test your practical and theoretical skills. Your final unit allows you to showcase all of your skills, and is graded at Pass/Merit/Distinction to define your final grade.
