Computing - Multimedia OCR National Certificate ICT

Course content:
This absorbing course will equip you with the basic skills to work in the games, animation and interactive design industries.
You will be introduced to skills in 3D modelling using industry standard software, concept art, basic computer animation and interactive design.
Practical, vocational skills are developed through professional style projects and supported by insight into the creative computing industries. The course works on end-to-end projects from concept to actual product and how to get ideas onto the shelf and turn ideas into a rewarding games design career.
Units offered: Digital Imaging, Design and Produce Multimedia Products, Computer Aided Design and Manufacture using 3D Studio Max, Creating Computer Graphics and Sound Using ICT, Key skills communication and numeracy as appropriate. Successful students from this course will be offered the opportunity to study with our award-winning National Diploma Games Production students at level 3

Course Structure:
You will take 6 units over one year. Around 15 hours in class per week, spread over three days.

Course resources:
3D suite/design studio. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
The tutor will advise you about any materials costs.
