This course is for school leavers aged 16-18 years. Mimimum 5 GCSEs grade A*-C or Level 2 Qualification e.g. BTEC First Diploma.

Creative & Media Edexcel specalised Diploma

Course content:
The creative & media specialised diploma is an exciting new qualification for young people who want to learn about some of the UK's most dynamic industries.
The diploma covers a rich range of disciplines including music technology and performance, acting, film, TV, graphic design, fashion and animation. Through a series of integrated assignments, you will gain knowledge and experience and skills enabling you to master processes common to all creative industries. There will be a stimulating focus on practical skills and professionalism with industry input throughout your course. You will participate in exhibitions, shows and performances and learn how to compete in this fast-paced, rapidly developing industry. Additionally, you will complete a ten day work in experience in a relevant workplace. There will be opportunities to specialise in the discipline of your choice in year 2.
All students will be given the opportunity to take an additional qualification as part of the diploma, for example a BTEC national award in performance or interior design.

Course Structure:
1.5 days a week focused in creative industries-focused work, 2 days a week for additional studies, functional skills and project work. This will be delivered at our Wandsworth Campus and a partner school.

Course resources:
Fully equipped specialist music studios, TV studio, art and design studios, apple mac computer suites with industry level software, dance & drama studios.

Assessment:
The course is mainly assessed through ongoing coursework with a minority externally assessed by the awarding body.

Fees Info
The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
The tutor will advise you about any materials costs.
