Course content:
This is a level 2 course, lasting one year. On completion you can go on to the National Diploma if you have gained a Merit.
This one year course involves an introduction to dance, musical theatre, voice and acting training. All assessment is based on the rehearsal and performance process in your individual production company. Throughout the course there are workshops from external companies, visits to various theatre productions and a connection with Battersea Arts Centre, which involves at least one performance a year at this prestigious venue. With successful completion, you can progress to a related advanced course.

Course Structure:
3 to 4 days per week.

Course resources:
The College has a performance studio where you will practice and do live performances.All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Continuous assessment and external moderation via written work and production work.

The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
The tutor will advise you about any materials costs. You will also need to wear black to all practical sessions.
