Course Description
All College First courses include a core of supporting studies and essential skills, including Literacy and Numeracy. The course leads to nationally recognised qualifications based on standards set by the industry to definethe skills, knowledge and competence required for employment. As a College First student you may also be involved in a range of additional activities, including visits, team events, enterprise projects, etc.

Entry Requirements
GCSEs in Maths, English, Science, Technology and ICT at Grade D. Personal recommendation from teacher; however learner must be seen to be on target to progress.

  • Prepare vegetables
  • Prepare and serve fresh fruit and salads

Attendance Modes: Day

Assessment: Continual assessment throughout this course through the observation of practical skills, oral questions and assignments. A portfolio of evidence will be required. To gain a full qualification on this course you will need to complete all seven NVQ units.
