Develop your listening skills from Jazz harmony and ear training 1 to include more unusual forms, extended and altered harmony, and expand your knowledge of jazz repertoire. This practical class features playing tunes and improvisation over the study tunes. New knowledge and concepts will be applied directly to your instrument.

Lionel Grigson, Practical Jazz (Stainer and Bell) and Mark Levine, Jazz Theory Book (ChuckSher) recommended.
You will be taught through group listening, discussion and singing of relevant musical lines and parts, class exercises (dictation and chord recognition) to learn the tunes in the first hour, and ensemble practice in the second hour.
