The course consists of four units:
Working within the Private Security Industry
Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry
Conflict Management within the Private Security Industry
Physical Intervention skills within the Private Security Industry
Anyone wishing to enter the security industry and work as a Door Supervisor, Event Security, Retail Security or Manned Guarding.
Level 1 in English (written and spoken)
Photo ID= Driving Licence/ Passport
Utility Bills etc
These are required for proof of ID for the examinations
Highfield Qualifications Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry
The physical interventions is marked by the tutor
The remaining exams are marked externally by the Awarding Body
Information on how to book on the course will be sent and if the person wishes to book on the course, an invoice will be sent, once paid- all supporting information such as workbooks/ textbooks will be sent/

The syllabus covers-
Working within the Private Security Industry, which includes: the security industry, roles and responsibilities, fire safety awareness, communication skills and customer care
Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry, this covers alcohol awareness, drugs awareness, licensing/ criminal/ civil Law, arrest, searching people and their belongings.
Conflict management within the Private Security Industry, this covers dynamic risk assessment, policies and procedures, recognising threat, dealing with emotional situations, contact and cover.
Physical Intervention within the Private Security Industry- part theory/. part practical unit which covers safe positioning, escape from grabs, maintaining a safe distance, escort holds and team drills.
