About this course

Be able to recognise the principles of mindfulness and its applications in daily life.
Gain more control over your emotional life and its effect on your musical performance skills.
Use mindfulness techniques to enhance your practising, singing with others, performing and general enjoyment of music.
Learn techniques for coping with stage fright.

Please wear comfortable clothing. Bring a device to record audio, paper and a pen.

Course programme

Improve ease and coordination in singing. Find how to practise more thoughtfully. Be able to listen when working with an accompanist or other singers. Find ways to relate to performance with enjoyment and confidence. Explore strategies for coping with performance fears.

There will be lead meditation, exercises, group discussion, handouts, practical demonstration. You will have the opportunity in the sessions to try various techniques of practising, singing and performing.
