Course Content: This course is an ideal first stepping stone to your career in Food Preparation and Cooking.

It will provide you with an introduction to a professionally recognised qualification where you will gain a range of skills and experience through completing various coursework and practical assignments, these skills are vital for your progression onto further study in this area and into employment.

The course will allow you to demonstrate a balance of practical and theoretical knowledge of each unit, on which you will be assessed on a continuous basis. It will give you an introduction to a professionally recognised qualification, allow you to gain practical skills and underpinning knowledge within standardised skills session and realistic work environment.

Special Features: · No external examinations

· Competence based programme, outcomes gained through practical and knowledge assessment processes

· Available as part of a full time programme or a stand alone programme (6hrs per week over 1 academic year)

Course Format: Dependant on a realistic working environment timetable.
