Assessment procedure:
The OCR Level 2 Certificate for IT Users (CLaIT PLUS 2006) is designed to assess IT skills in a practical way for anyone who wishes to use computers and information technology. Evidence of competence in the CLaIT Plus 2006 course is assessed by the completion of self-assessment and marked sample assignments as well as an exam to end each unit.

Entry requirements:
Although there are no formal entry requirements for CLaIT Plus 2006, it should be noted that these units assume familiarity with IT concepts as required to gain the CLaIT Plus 2006 qualification. It is recommended that students complete the core unit 'Integrated e-Document Production' first.

Certificate for IT Users (CLAiT Plus)

Progression opportunities:
You will have the comprehensive knowledge and skills to be able to use computers in an IT - based workplace.
The course also provides a broad basis for those intending to go on to specialised and more advanced studies.
We are offering BCS Certificate in using IT (ECDL Advanced). this is a Level 3 course and can be studied either Open Learning or as a class.

We may also be able to help you with some of the extra costs associated with college, eg travel, childcare, equipment, books etc. In addition, depending on the course and the number of hours a week you study, you may be eligible for an Adult Learners†Grant.
