Is this course right for me?

Have you achieved a level 2 plumbing qualification and want to extend your skills & knowledge up to level 3? Then this two-year day-release course is for you.

What will I be learning?

This is a 2 year course is aimed at people working within the plumbing industry who wish to gain a nationally recognised qualification as evidence of their competence.

The units of study you will undertake will be selected from the following: central heating systems (including boilers and controls wiring), domestic gas supply, cold water systems, domestic hot water systems (included un-vented) and sanitation systems.

How will I learn?

You will be required to complete practical assignments and theoretical tests.

What else might I want to know?

You will need to provide protective clothing, footware, textbooks and stationary.

For those learners undertaking the NVQ 3 Qualification only, additional elements are required to achieve the full NVQ qualification before you are qualified to work with gas. You will also be required to undertake water regulations, ACS gas assessment and unvented certificates, additional costs will be occurred for these qualifications.

What can I do afterwards?

On completion of this qualification you may wish to progress onto the Level 4 Higher Professional Diploma in Building Services Engineering, or a Level 4 Management course. If you are working at level 3 within the plumbing industry you may wish to gain the NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing.
