Level: introduction

Course content:
This course excellent introduction to the exciting industry of Barbering.
This course provides the basic barbering techniques over the 16 weeks and will enable the students to be able to perform a variety of basic cuts on male clients. This course covers: Cutting men's hair using basic techniques, Dry hair to shape and create finished looks for men, Advise and consult with clients.
This is a full paying course where all fees and materials have to be paid prior to beginning the course.

Course Structure:
Delivery of this course will be 3 hours per week from 6pm-9pm. This course will provide students with essential knowledge and understanding as well as the necessary skills required to perform basic barbering techniques.

Course resources:
Excellent salon training environment; the latest products in the market are used at the college. All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

Assessment:
Continuous assessments by observation on practical skills and written test.

Next step:
City and Guilds NVQ Level 2, or Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing.
