This course is suitable for more experienced students who'd like to explore hatha yoga practices, basic asanas [ poses] and breathing exercises with a view to developing their own yoga practice. Students who have done a beginners and level 1 course will be able to extend their practice. The first class introduces the essential movements which we will then piece together into a classical yoga.

About this course
You should check the level of this course to see if it matches your ability. None except enthusiasm to explore movement and breath and at least two term's experience of yoga. Not suitable as an ante natal class or some disabilities.

Course content:
This course is suitable for more experienced students who'd like to explore hatha yoga practices, basic asanas [ poses] and breathing exercises with a view to developing their own yoga practice. Students who have done a beginners and level 1 course will be able to extend their practice.
The first class introduces the essential movements which we will then piece together into a classical yoga practice. There is an opportunity here to mention any ailments such as bad backs, wrists, knees or shoulders.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Do the core movements of hatha yoga practice
- Do standing poses.
- Do balances, twists and backbends
- Modifications for poses are offered where appropriate ensuring that everyone practices at a level suitable to their abilities. Emphasis on breathing linked to poses for the more experienced and more complex poses.
Course Structure:
Weekly classes focus on co-ordinating movement and breath to allow students to develop strength and flexibility before finishing the class with a period of guided relaxation.

Mats, blocks & belts are provided, Wear clothes that won't restrict movement & please bring a blanket.

Tutor feedback. Homework. Individual Learning Plans. Peer feedback

When information is available you will notice 2 different fees stated for this course. The fee you pay is dependent on your status:
Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
