Psychology & Treatment of Alcoholism - a distance learning course by BSY Alcoholism is a complex and large subject, with roots in both genetic and environmental causes. This distance learning course will explore alcoholism, its potential causes and other factors which may contribute to the likelihood of an individual becoming an alcoholic.  Students will learn the theory of the addictive personality, the psychology of the addicted mind, how alcoholism is typically diagnosed and how its progression can be predicted.
