About the course : This is a personalised programme for people who have experienced anxiety, depression or other mental health difficulties who wish to return to learning and progress to further study or employment.
Course content :
You may join this programme at any time of the year. Following an initial meeting you will agree a Personalised Programme. Any of the four elements below may be agreed. Thereafter you will work in a small group on your personal plan to help you achieve your goals.
Personalised Programme - Adult & Community Learning
Course length: 1 term - You may attend one or more two hour classes per week.
You are able to choose from a wide variety of classes from art, cooking, keep fit, flower arranging, Thai Chi, yoga, photography, sewing and lots more. Most of these classes are based at our Adare Centre.
Personalised Programme - Literacy
Course length: 1 term - You may attend two mornings/afternoons per week.
You will work towards an external certificate in Adult Literacy at a level appropriate to you.
Personalised Programme - Numeracy
Course length: 1 term - You may attend two mornings/afternoons per week.
You will work towards an external certificate in Adult Numeracy at a level appropriate to you.
Personalised Programme - NOCN Step Up
Course length: 6 weeks to 1 term - You may attend five mornings/afternoons per week.
You will study literacy, numeracy, ICT and employability skills to gain the National Open College Network (NOCN) Award in Skills Towards Enabling Progression (Step Up).
