About this course
A typical offer will be in the region of 100 points from a minimum of 1 A level/AVCE or equivalent (e.g. 1 x AVCE double award). We accept Level 3 Key Skills qualifications. We also require three passes at GCSE (or equivalent) grade C or above which must include Mathematics and English Language. We may require ILETS with score 6.0.

Introduction
Anyone carrying out CVIT, CCTV/PPS, Door Supervision, Security Supervision, Security Guarding, Security Consulting, Close Protection, Key Holding, Private Investigation or Vehicle Immobilising and Wheel Clamping, must hold a valid SIA licence.
You will need an SIA licence from the Security Industry Authority if you wish to work as a Security Officer or a door supervisor and are responsible for security, protection or screening the suitability of persons entering licence premises or dealing with conflict in pubs, clubs and other licence premises open to the public. Whether you are already working as a Security Officer or Door Supervisor but are yet to receive SIA training, or you are considering work as a Security Officer or Door Supervisor, you need to be SIA licensed as a Door Supervisor or a Security Guard. It is now illegal to work as a Security Officer or Door Supervisor without SIA Security Licence.

Following the course you will be able to apply for Front line door supervision SIA license without that you are not permitted do any security job unless special permission is granted by relevant authorities.

It normally takes around six weeks for each application to be processed; this time starts from when a correctly completed application form is received.
Cost of a LicenceIf you want to apply licence through us we charge £295.00 which includes fee to SIA and our admin charges. The licence is valid for three years.
Tax Relief:If you pay your own licence fee you will be able to claim tax relief against your taxable income. For example, if you pay the basic rate of tax the relief is worth £53.90. If you are an employer paying the licence fee on behalf of an employee there will be no tax or National Insurance liability.
What are the opportunities for further studies? There is NOCN assignment and test based examination where you will achieve level 2 qualifications with units as titled below 1. The Role and Responsibilities of a Door supervisors (Unit code F/102/4745) 2. Communication and conflict Management in Door Supervision (Unit code M/500/4404 On completion and achieving NOCN certificate you will be able to apply for SIA License.How long is the course: The course will be taught during the day and evening over 4-5 weeks of period.
