WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
This range of courses is designed to improve your literacy, numeracy and IT skills. This will prepare you to progress towards work or vocational training. It will also help you to build confidence and gain practical skills useful in your future self/career development. You can join the courses at any time throughout the year.

We run the courses at our Wigston or Market Harborough campus and at some outreach centres.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will follow your own individual plan and work at your own pace. You can use computers to help you if you wish. Your progress will be measured against the national standards for literacy and numeracy and you can work towards accreditation when you feel ready.

WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
You have the option of taking a National Test at level 1 and 2 (level 2 is equivalent to GCSE A-C grade) in Literacy and Numeracy when you are ready. There are also City and Guilds Certificates available in Adult Literacy and Numeracy at entry level.

WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
You can progress towards work, further study or vocational training. You can also progress onto the Pathways to GCSE English or Maths at the college.
