Set the pace for success
This course will give you insights into sport coaching, sport development and aspects of sport science.

You’ll be taught by a vastly experienced team including accredited physiologists, strength and conditioning coaches, sport development specialists and psychologists. We also offer tuition by exercise, health and business experts to help you develop as an all-round sports professional.

In addition, a personal academic tutor will be assigned to you to provide continuous support and help shape your development and career planning.

About this course

Graduating with Sport and Exercise Studies as part of your Joint Honours programme is a great start to your career: a well-regarded qualification combined with key employability skills. Take a look at how we help you to improve your employability.

You could work as a sport development officer or as a coach for one of the National Governing Bodies or local authorities. Our recent graduates have secured jobs in coaching, sport development, teaching, the fitness industry, sport management, media and marketing.

Alternatively, you could join the police force or armed services or become a personal trainer or lifestyle coach. If you complete relevant postgraduate training, you could go into physiotherapy or into PE teaching in primary and secondary schools.

You can also consider other ways of taking your qualifications to the next level. We now offer the MSc Applied Sport and Exercise Science – which includes Sport and Exercise Psychology or Physiology pathways – where you will develop advanced knowledge in your subject. Another option is our MRes (Sport and Exercise) where you can further your applied sport science and research skills.

What you will study
