What will I study? The course focuses on teaching and learning strategies for ESOL and is mainly practically based. You will need to allow extra time for independent study and preparation outside the taught couse.
What qualification will I get? An internationally recognised qualification for teaching EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)., ie. the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
What can I do after the course? Once you have the CELTA and have some experience of teaching ESOL, you can be considered for progression to the Certificate in Further Education Teaching Stage 3 TESOL and the Certificate for ESOL Subject Specialists.
How do I get on the course? Apply from May 2008 for September 2008 entry.
