One-to-One Training Skills

This course has been designed to help supervisors carry out one-to-one training and workplace assessment to define standards of performance. Each delegate gains practical experience in preparing and carrying out short training sessions under supervision with the emphasis on helping the trainer to learn.

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

• Recognise situations in their own work area where learning needs to take place.
• Analyse tasks in order to plan effective training.
• Design and carry out short pieces of on-job training to meet specified needs.
• Write appropriate materials to support the training given.

This course provides all the underpinning knowledge for L23 Support How Basic Skills are delivered in the workplace.
