An excellent introduction to understanding finance

Looking to learn more about business finance? Improving business performance has always been challenging. One way of staying ahead and not just afloat is to increase your knowledge of finance and how financial decisions determine the health of your business. Businesses which stand the test of time share one vitally important characteristic: they have invested in training for 'financial literacy' at all levels of the organisation. This course will help you discover financial management techniques and apply them for making insightful and sound decisions.

Some of the topics which will be covered include understanding liquidity, solvency and profitability and how to prepare a simple cash flow, profit and loss account and balance sheet. Participants will also become familiar with the key accounting documentation used in business and will understand the role of accounting in an organisation.

This course is suitable for directors, managers, team leaders and supervisors who need to better understand and be able to positively affect their organisation's financial processes and outcomes. Stand&Deliver will design a workshop that is particular to your business and provide it in-house.

About this course

This course aims to provide delegates with a better understanding of the accounting and financial processes in their business and to learn the application of financial techniques and tools to facilitate making sound, insightful decisions.

The resource book we were given has already come in handy this morning as I plan a talk I will be giving as part of the STEM outreach programme… putting these newly learnt presentation techniques to use straight away.
