Practical training will be supported by targeted lecture presentations. The course will contain the following elements:
-Introduction to veterinary residues testing with particular reference to antimicrobial screening, chloramphenicol and nitrofuran metabolites testing.
-Overview of LC-MS-MS instrumentation and set-up.
-LC-MS-MS data processing.
-Practical sessions—Introduction to SOP; preparation of stock standards; sampling.
-Practical sessions—Full extraction and clean-up procedure (to include hands-on testing of existing incurred material).
-Trouble shooting/Q&A session
