Course Description
Do you sometimes feel that it is hard to turn people down; to ask people to do things which they might not be happy to do; to stand your ground without caving in? This course will help you respond to people and deal with situations in a more assertive way.

Content

  • what is assertiveness? raising the issues.
  • contrasting the effectiveness of aggressive and submissive behaviours
  • principles of assertive behaviour.
  • assertive rather than aggressive - the difference
  • developing a working list of how the assertive person communicates
  • practising the skills

Duration: Offered as a half day, one day or two day course depending on your requirements. It is also available for one-to-one training.
