This course is aimed at:

Business operators, managers, junior managers, sole traders, food hygiene auditors, trainers, head and executive chefs, supervisors, business owners, production managers and many more.

This course was previously known as advanced food hygiene course.

About this course

To gain an in depth knowledge of food safety.
To learn about laws and regulations
To be able to provide food safe for public consumption
To pass the level 4 CIEH accredited exam

This course is suitable for managers, sole traders, executive chefs, supervisors, junior managers and many more.candidates should have a good knowledge and understanding of food safety before taking this course e.g. food safety level 3.

Candidates should have a minimum level 3 food safety qualification or above.

If not you will be asked to complete an assessment before the course.

Candidates should have a good command of the English language and ability to interpret and apply course material and apply it to place of work.

Candidates will also be involved in delivering parts of the course and be required to set aside time for homework and self study outside the course.

CIEH level 4 food safety certificate

Kitchen Tonic is a CIEH registered centre. 60% of Kitchen Tonic candidates achieved merit in 2014. We have great feed back from candidates and we specialise in food safety, HACCP, allergens and nutrition.

Candidates who do not have level 3 or equivalent qualification in food safety, will have to attend for an assessment. If in doubt, please contact us. This course is taught in English. The examination paper is only available in English.

The assessment methodology for the CIEH Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering now comprises a controlled assignment and an examination paper both of which are to be completed under examination conditions.

Why is this training important:

Beyond being accountable, it is important for everyone in a managing or supervising position to have mastered the principles of good practice in food safety, thus gaining the ability to guide and advise on the management of food hygiene in a food business.

The CIEH Level 4 Awards in Food Safety have been designed as a five day programme to provide an in-depth understanding of food safety with an emphasis on the importance of the management of systems and staff.
