You will work towards either an NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 in Customer Service. This is a job ready qualification which requires the student to demonstrate in the work place skills and knowledge required for the Customer service industry. Along with this you will complete Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication, together with the Customer Service Technical Certificate (the knowledge based element). These will depend on the awarding body requirements for the framework and the industry pathways selected. Employment Rights and Responsibilities training is also a requirement. This is covered either by induction or embedded within the Technical Certificate or the NVQ.

It is expected that the attendance pattern would be a combination of both college attendance and workplace completion The attendance pattern will be confirmed at induction and the duration of the programme would range between 12 and 24 months depending on the level undertaken.

Course programme
On successful completion of the programme you will achieve an NVQ at level 2 or 3, a technical certificate and Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication. You will also have completed the Employee Rights and Responsibilities certificate.
You will learn through a mixture of lectures, group work, work-related activities and independent study and research. You will be taught in well-equipped general classrooms with the latest learning technology. As part of your programme, assessment is on a continuous basis with a number of assessments in each module. Assessments take a variety of forms, such as written reports, essays, designing a product, presentations, and group projects. There are timed examinations in some modules.
