This course is an entry level course and is designed to increase awareness of the need to supply safe food to the consumer. This course is so short and so affordable as to be within the means of any food business and is an essential first step to equipping new employees with a basic knowledge so as to minimise the risk of employees causing food poisoning or food borne illness in the food. Suitable for: New employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge Employees handling low-risk or wrapped foods Front of house employees, such as waiting or check out staff Back of house employees, such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff Employees with English as a second language Employees with special needs

Thsi is a half day programme

Food Hygiene training for:

new employees
employees who have food hygiene at low risk for example wrapped foods (catergory A)
waiting or check out staff
back of house e.g. porters or warehouse staff
special needs of English as a second language who will progress to level 2 as soon as possible

Programme includes:
basic requirements of food safety and hygiene
how to keep clean
the role the individual plays in avoiding contamination of food and the consequences
and key food safety issues

Assessed by a short multi-choice paper
