According to its website, the objective of the contest is to “highlight the challenges young people face in the workplace, as well as innovative ideas to address them”.

In short, the ILO is looking for original, creative photos which depict youth at work. Participants are encouraged to focus on such topics as working conditions,  working poverty, discrimination, gender barriers and entrepreneurship, among others. This is by no means an exhaustive list!

So, if you are up to the challenge and are between the ages of 18 and 29, send in up to 5 photos for a chance to win either the regional (Central and Eastern Europe) or the global (worldwide) top prizes, worth $1000 each!

Also at stake are second place prizes of $500 and youth prizes of $800.

The deadline is April 15, 2013 at midnight, European Central Time. We wish you the best of luck!!!

Don’t forget to read the terms and conditions and don’t forget to remove the lens cap!
