Course programme

This course has been designed for anyone working within a catering environment or for people who come into contact with food.

This course will cover:
Legislation.
Environmental health.
Food hazards.
Contamination.
Role and responsibility of the food handler.
Different types of bacteria.
Storing, preparing and cooking of foods.
Temperature controls.

Throughout the course, learners will have sessions of questions & answers, alongside activities and exercises. Learners will complete a multiple choice examination paper from CIEH. CIEH results will take approximately 4 weeks to return

Additional information

By attending this course learners will receive an accredited certificate that will allow them to work within the catering environment with a great knowledge.  The course gives a great deal of information into food safety and how learners can promote good practice when carrying out tasks.  This course can be made specific to the sector, whether it is catering, manufacturing or retail.
