Is it for me?
This course is for individuals over the age of 18 (already in possession of a Level 2 qualification in Fitness Instructing) who want to become qualified to teach Circuit Training sessions. Circuit Training sessions are dynamic and exciting classes using small equipment and body weight exercises.
Completion of this award will expand your skills base, help to broaden your experience and potentially increase your future career prospects. The course is also relevant for those individuals who are currently teaching Circuit Training sessions without a formal qualification.
What do I need?
You must already hold a CYQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing qualification (or other qualification recognised by the National Qualifications Framework). You should also have practical experience of Circuit Training classes.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by way of internally assessed lesson plans, practical assessment (observed by a qualified assessor) and written evaluation of your teaching.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught by a combination of practical and theory based lessons.
What qualification will I get?
CYQ Level 2 Award in Circuit Training
Can I go onto further study?
You could go on to complete another Level 2 qualification in exercise and fitness (e.g. exercise to music, circuits, step etc), or go on to do a Level 3 qualification in exercise and fitness (e.g. Personal Trainer Award).
What are the career opportunities?
You could gain employment in the health and fitness industry as a circuit instructor.
