About the course : This is a part-time in-service course for teachers/trainers currently working in the Lifelong Learning Sector. It has been planned to meet the professional needs of teachers in further and adult education and training institutions, as well as the general professional standards laid down by LLUK. The course has been planned to take account of the current changes in teacher training by practitioners closely involved in these developments. The broad aim of the course is to enhance knowledge, skills and professional attributes through a taught programme and learning experiences. The emphasis in Year 1 is preparation for competent classroom delivery. In Year 2 you will focus on the broader professional context of lifelong learning. The programme intention is to enable you to become an effective and critical practitioner through the development of a range of professional skills and theoretical perspectives. All programme members will be encouraged to develop ICT and resource-based learning skills.

: You will be expected to hold relevant academic, vocational or professional qualifications and experience; some applicants will be graduates.
