This Display Screen Equipment Assessor Training course will equip delegates with the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out display screen equipment assessments effectively.

Display Screen Equipment/Visual Display Units's have been blamed, often wrongly, for a wide range of health problems. In fact, only a small proportion of VDU users actually suffer ill health as a result of their work. Where problems do occur, they are generally caused by the way in which VDU's are being used, rather than the VDU's themselves.

• Reasons for managing health and safety – moral, economic and legal
• Legal requirements for display screen equipment risk assessment
• Adverse health effects from working with display screen equipment
• Setting up a workstation, keying in, using a mouse and reading the screen
• Posture and breaks
• Laptops
• Risk assessment and workstation assessment
• Control measures

This course can either be delivered on-site anywhere in the UK or at one of our training centres.
