This qualification is aimed at individuals who are currently or are seeking to start a career in Hospitality. The qualification can be taken in the workplace so as you train, you gain hands on experience. It allows flexibility in choice as there are different units to take different pathways, yet it also covers the breadth of hospitality functions including all main career pathways available in this diverse industry. About this course
The Hospitality Services Apprenticeships acts as an entry and progression route for new staff in the sector, and to up skill existing staff. It is a high quality, prestigious learning and development programme, valued by employers. Apprentices will develop skills, knowledge and their competence requires to become a hospitality professional in job roles such as a Hospitality Team Member. Larger chains in the mainstream food preparation and cooking sector may also use this route to multi skill their team member.
Intermediate Apprentices will work in roles such as:
- Hospitality Services Assistant
- Front of House Reception
- Silver Service Waiters/Waitresses
- Bar Person
- Housekeeping
There are no formal qualifications required to complete this course as all training is provided.

Qualifications are delivered in the workplace, so assessors will visit you on a monthly basis with your employer to undertake work towards this qualification.

Course programme
To achieve the full qualification learners must attain a minimum of 37 credits.
- Learners must achieve all 11 credits from the mandatory units in Group A.
- The Remaining 26 credits can be from the optional units in Group B
Mandatory Units (Group A):
- Unit 1 – Maintenance of a Safe, Hygienic and Secure Working Environment
- Unit 2 – Give Customers a Positive Impression of Yourself and Your Organisation
