About this course

This course is suitable for students of all ages. Minimum 4 GCSE passes (A* -C) in relevant subjects, including English, BTEC 1st Diploma or a related level 2 qualification. Applicants over 21 may also be considered based on past work experience and two references will be required. All applicants will take part in an interview and audition and be given some basic aural tests.

This exciting performance course will develop your expertise as a performer through musicianship and keyboard classes, rehearsal sessions and a wide variety of performances, including a tour of schools and gigs in local clubs.
Musicianship and keyboard classes, rehearsal sessions and a wide variety of performances, including a tour of schools and gigs in local clubs. You will gain expertise on your instrument/voice through small group workshops and benefit from seminars and visits from our many links to the professional music industry. Additionally, you will learn essential music technology and production skills alongside music business studies to provide you with a really comprehensive and rounded training.

Course Structure:
18 units, spread over 2 years, covering the skills listed in course content. The course is designed around a series of often practical, integrated assignments.

The fee where stated is an 'INCLUSIVE FEE' for UK/EU students. This fee includes the tuition fee, examination fee and exam board registration fee. You may have to pay extra for materials for the course. If you are under 19 years or you are in receipt of an income related benefit the course and exam fee is FREE. Students aged 60+ years pay 70% of this fee. Students aged 19+ will also have to pay a College Registration Fee of £30 (or £20 if you receive benefit) once per academic year.Materials costs:
