This qualification is highly recognised by employers and by studying this course you will gain qualifications to become a professional within the hospitality and catering industry. The course covers all aspects of catering building on from the skills and knowledge gained n Level 1 to enable you to work in a highly skilled manner within a professional catering environment.

Method of assessment:
The course is assessed throughout the year by written coursework assignments, set written examinations, practical assessments and 2 final practical exams at the end of the year.

Progression opportunities and careers:
Completion of the Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery will prepare you for employment within a variety of sectors within the hospitality and catering industry. The opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 diploma.

Entry requirements:
An interest in hospitality and catering. Level 1 in Professional Cookery or industrial experience.

All full time students will undertake a combination of additional qualifications that will enhance their study skills and those skills that will be important in employment.
