This course is designed for those wishing to keep mobile, exercise at a gentle pace gentle and de-stress. Discover the benefits of Pilates and gentle exercise in a relaxed environment and find ways to improve your stamina, strength, posture and to learn breathing and relaxation techniques.

About this course
- Use core muscles effectively
- Practise lateral breathing
- Perform muscular strength and endurance exercises
- Have a working knowledge of how to improve standing posture
- Choose to work at an appropriate and effective level
- Practise relaxation techniques.
You should wear loose, comfortable clothing and socks, and bring a towel with you. Information on books will be given during the course, but these are not essential.

Pilates exercises and gentle aerobic exercises to accommodate different learners in the group; increasing body awareness and knowledge of when and how to progress ; exercises to improve the posture including working the abdominals (core); working to improve spinal mobility; hip, thigh and leg exercise and improving breathing patterns; relaxation techniques.
