The Hospitality Services Intermediate Level Apprenticeship is for those working in or about to start work in the hospitality industry, covering a range of functions. The course is completed in the workplace to allow hands on experience, covering a variety of roles - for example, both back and front of house.
The course takes 16 months to complete and has a flexible start date. Fully-funded for 16-18 year olds; partial-funding for those aged 19+ (fees apply). There is no upper age limit.
THE APPRENTICESHIP FRAMEWORK: The framework is made up of the following components. In order to be successful you must complete and achieve all elements.
PRACTICAL ELEMENT
City and Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality Services
Common Mandatory Units
All candidates must complete the following:
• Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
• Give customers a positive impression of self and your organisation
• Work effectively as part of a hospitality team.
Additional Mandatory Units
Candidates working in Food Preparation or Food Service must complete 1 from the following:
• Maintain food safety when storing, preparing and cooking food
• Maintain food safety when storing, holding and serving food.

On completion of this course you may be able to progress onto an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership.
There are no formal entry requirements; however you must have the potential and opportunity to gain evidence in the workplace.
We want you to achieve to the very best of your ability at CRC. To make this happen we offer both learning and personal support by specialist staff tailored to meet your specific needs.
You will be assessed in the workplace using a variety of methods including observation, questioning, professional discussions, witness testimonials and candidate work products and statements.
