Level 3 Awards Supervising Food Safety in Catering
For all persons with responsibilities for managing food safety including supervisors and owners of businesses. The course builds on the foundation level and can introduce candidates to some of the advanced certificate subjects. The course is generally aimed at all types of food business in particular restaurants, manufacturing, wholesaling etc.
Topics covered include:
- Writing food safety Policies and instructions and advice (Basic law)
- Methods for Supervising food handlers
- Monitoring of food hygiene and standards
- How to train staff
- Dealing with complaints
- Food poisoning prevention(basic biology and chemistry and pest control)
- Basic hazard analysis techniques
The course lasts around 3 days with a 2 hour test on completion of the course.
