You may have done the introductory course or played a little before though this is not essential. Be prepared to tell your tutor confidentially of any ailments such as bad backs, wrists, knees or shoulders, high blood pressure, recent surgery or any other.

Badminton

Level: Level 1

Course content:
This class teaches complete beginners and those with some experience of the game the basics of badminton and how to play singles and doubles.
You may have done the introductory course or played a little before though this is not essential. Be prepared to tell your tutor confidentially of any ailments such as bad backs, wrists, knees or shoulders, high blood pressure, recent surgery or any other health issue which might affect your participation. Do not eat for at least two hours before a class. Wear loose comfortable clothing and non-slip trainers.

By the end of the course you will be able to:-
Explain the basic rules and court markings
Serve
Play a simple singles or doubles game
Perform basic shots
Learners who have experience of the game will be able to develop and improve on their service and shots.

Course Structure:
A practical session playing with other learners with demonstrations and corrections from the teacher.

Course resources:
Learning will take place in a spacious hall with nets, racquets and shuttlecocks provided
