For 32 weeks, one evening a week.

Course Description
You will learn to "sign" basic communication and to greet people. It will be useful in the workplace, for family, home, food, drink and travel, and you will learn numbers and time. Information will also be given on deafness, the deaf community and their culture, communication systems, aids and equipment. It is suitalbe for personal, social or professional purposes.

How is the Qualification Achieved ?
There is an oral examination which is conducted and accredited by The Council for the Advancement of Communication with Deaf People (CACDP)

On Successful Completion of this Course
You can go onto the Level 2.
