Course Description:
This course will examine in detail the roles and responsibilities of resort representatives. The overall aims are:

• To improve the skills of individuals and increase their chances of gaining employment within travel and tourism.
• To support the skills needs within the travel and tourism industry.
• To widen and increase participation in lifelong learning.

Some of the tasks you will complete on the course are:

• Write a resort representatives handbook.
• Pepare and present a welcome meeting.
• Research resort information.
• Perform a transfer speech.

Successful completion of the course has led past students into a variety of tourism jobs, for example:

• Holiday Representatives.
• Tour Operators Offices.
• Tourist Information Offices.
• Travel Agents.

Duration:
This is a part time course which will run for 3 hours per week for 20 weeks starting in September.
