Confident Communication & Presentation Skills For Work and Life
Course content:
This course is for people who want to develop their communication skills whether this is for their personal life or within a work situation. It is going to be particularly useful for individuals wishing to develop the confidence to progress to the next stage in work.
Through practice, in a safe environment, we will build your confidence and self esteem when public speaking. We will look at different situations and scenarios, develop planning and content strategies whilst learning some quick win techniques. This will be a supportive, positive and enjoyable course.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
1. speak in public more clearly, more confidently and get your point across
2. prepare and deliver a short presentation
3. use techniques to speak more effectively
Course Structure:
A basic practical course looking at breaking down the elements of verbal communication including how you come across when speaking. Over four weeks the structure of the course will start with general communication skills and how you present yourself, we will then look at what you are actually saying and finish with preparing and giving presentations. There will be group and individual exercises and presentations by your teacher. The last session will focus on delivery and all students will be given an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learnt by giving a short presentation

All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access.

When information is available you will notice 2 different fees stated for this course. The fee you pay is dependent on your status:
Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
