Course content:
This course gives students the basic rules, swing and shots necessary to start playing golf.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Explain the rules of golf and etiquette on the greens including safety rules

- Perform a full swing and hit the ball.
- Use putting and chipping appropriately.
- Play on the green
Course Structure:
There will a initial warm up, demonstration by tutor, paired and individual practice on the driving range with a session on the green in the last week
Course resources:
It is important to wear some warm, comfortable clothes, non-slip shoes
Assessment:
Teacher feedback. Video playback of your swing. Student and peer self-assessment

To play independently or join a club with basic skills and confidence, or to undertake further coaching.

When information is available you will notice 2 different fees stated for this course. The fee you pay is dependent on your status:
Fee 1: Standard fee;
Fee 2: Aged 60+ years fee
Students in receipt of an income-based benefit pay £20 per course per term.
You will need to bring proof of age and any benefits when you enrol.
You DO NOT have to pay a college registration fee for these courses, but you may have to pay for additional course materials.Materials costs:
Ball hire each week £5.00 approx. Green hire in last week £15.00 approx
