Is this course for you
The course is aimed at who has discovered a passion for Italian food. It's suitable to anybody, beginners or more accomplished. No limitation to age or gender. You will cover an introduction to classical Italian cakes and desserts made from basic sponges, pastry and fillings. Recipes will include, amongst others, the classic delicious Italian birthday cake, Tiramisu, Pastiera Napoletana, panna cotta. Lessons could be interconnected with each other, since in some cases due to the actual lesson time available each week, some recipes requiring longer preparation time will be completed over two lessons. PLEASE NOTE THE COURSE WILL TAKE PLACE AT SAXONGATE LEARNING CENTRE, BASED IN THE CENTRE OF HUNTINGDON.

Additional information
The necessary ingredients for the first lesson will be provided by the tutor and learners will be asked to reimburse the tutor up to £5.00 (money bank). They can expect to pay around £3-8 per week depending on quantities cooked. Students will be supplied with a collection of recipes assembled from the teacher for the occasion (printed cookery book), in which they will find the lists of ingredients, utensils and recipes instruction. Basic equipment is provided by the school kitchen, but students may like to bring their own for familiarity (i.e. knifes, saucepans). However, each week, they will need to bring a tea towel, washing up liquid, disinfectant and containers or dishes to transport their food home.
