This is by continuous assessment, written, oral and practical.There are also externally set tests and students will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence.

Professional Appearance:
To comply with health and safety regulations and industrial standards, students are required to wear the uniform listed below .
Steel cap shoes
Chef whites to include -Trousers, top, hat, neckerchief and apron
Uniform order forms can be obtained from the department and current costs will be included on these forms .
Other Costs:
Students will be required to purchase 2 A4 ringbinder files and writing stationary.
Students should seek advice regarding current Exam and Course Fees from Student Services.
Duration:
Thursday 9-4 pm over 1-2 years to include Literacy and Numeracy. The duration depends on the students past experience in the industry and current ability.All students who do not have GCSE Maths and English at grade C or equivalent will be required to study these subjects to complete their qualification.
