Exam:
This is by continuous assessment, written, oral and practical. There are also externally set tests and students are required to produce a portfolio of evidence.
Qualification:
NVQ 3 Professional Cookery
Level:
3
Professional Appearance:
To comply with health and safety regulations and industrial standards, students are required to wear Chef Whites and steel cap shoes. Uniform order forms and costs can be obtained from the department at interview.
Other Costs:
All students over 19 years are required to pay exam and registration fees. Current fees can be obtained at interview. Please seek advice from Student Services regarding course fees as these may also be payable depending upon your current personal circumstance.
Duration:
1 year. Students who do not have GCSE Maths and English must also study these subjects to complete their qualification.
