Who is this course for?
Skills for Jobs is a free programme designed to assist people that are unemployed to gain skills that will assist them in securing full-time employment.

What previous knowledge/experience are required?
No experience is necessary however there are some strict criteria for eligibility. So students must be : Aged 19+ Unemployed Not in possession of a Level 2 qualification or above. Permitted to work full time in the UK Not receiving any other source of public funding for training or job search assistance. Must have resided in the country for 3 years

What will the course cover and what can I expect to do by the end of it?
The course initially provides workshops in employability skills. These workshops include : Preparing a CV Preparing a Covering Letter Interview Skills Job Searching We also offer certain short courses in addition that could assist you in securing employment, such as SIA Security training.

What teaching and learning methods will be used on the course?
The workshops are interactive and provide you with solid advice and guidance you can build upon. As the subsequent training is bespoke, formats of training can vary.

How will we assess your progress on the course?
We review your success in applying for jobs and assist you with contacting potential employers.

What type of qualification will passing this course give me?
Varies on your chosen path.

What extra study/practice do we expect you to do outside the class?
You will need to use the guidance outside work to secure employment.

What can I do after completing this course?
Apply for jobs confidently.
