Rob Woollen

Rob Woollen

Teacher

In his Master's Degree in Work and Wellbeing, Rob Woollen explored the relationship between "good work" and employee health -with a specialist interest in personal and organisational resilience. Passionate about providing strategies to enhance resilience that are both backed by evidence, and accessible to normal busy people, Rob speaks internationally on the subject at both professional and academic conferences. He continues his research as a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health, and the Higher Education Academy.

Course programme

The course begins with an introduction to the science of stress. What is it really, and how does it work in the body?

We move on to talk about the relationship between sleep and stress, and provide scientifically-evidenced tips to improve sleep hygiene

What is stress?
Where does it come from?
How does stress link with sleep?
How can we manage our sleep?
What if basic sleep hygiene does not help?
